Blog Post Eight: Cream Corn



Creamed Corn (Better Than Canned)

Serves 4 | Prep: 15 min | Cook: 10 min

Ingredients

  • 4 ears fresh corn, husked

  • 2 Tbsp butter

  • ¼ cup half & half

  • Sugar, to taste

  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak corn husks in cold water for 30 minutes.

  2. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Add corn and cook for 5 minutes.

  3. Remove corn and let cool slightly. Cut kernels off the cob.

  4. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add corn, half & half, sugar, and salt to taste.

  5. Simmer gently for 5 minutes until creamy. Serve warm.
